Description

The NEJE DK-8-KZ is a compact desktop laser engraving machine with the ability to engrave materials such as wood, bamboo, plastic, and paper. The carving volume is a very small 38 x 38 x 70mm.

The machine utilizes a 405nm wavelength violet laser that moves along the X axis direction and the platform that holds the object to be engraved moves along the Y axis.

The machine is controlled by a Windows-only desktop application. The software downloads a bitmap to the machine, which then moves the laser in a raster pattern burning the material at the appropriate pixels.

  • Can be difficult to accurately position the object to be engraved; maybe a grid on the platform would help
  • No Mac version of the software
  • Drag and drop is the only way to select an image. A File open button would also be useful.

I would recommend purchasing this engraver if you would enjoy personalizing things like phone cases or if you’re a maker who would enjoy making and engraving small objects like keychains or holiday ornaments.
