This is my latest 3D printing project, a GoPro-style action camera frame. I printed it with my Anycubic i3 Mega 3D printer, using MakerGeeks Raptor PLA. The challenges that I had were:

  • Dimensions: I used the published dimensions without realizing the depth measurement included the lens protrusion
  • I designed top retaining clip to be too thin so that when I lifted it, it snapped off. I made it thicker at the joint, and tapered the thickness of the top frame.
  • PLA shrinkage: I followed directions for MakerGeeks raptor PLA annealing. Unfortunately the process caused quite  bit of shrinkage.
